About The Position

The role involves designing and developing processes for factory transformation projects and equipment implementation, with a focus on improving productivity, quality, equipment performance, energy consumption, and downtime reduction. You will provide technical expertise and guidance for manufacturing process and product design problems, serving as a resource for cause/effect investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning. The position also includes designing manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, and station controls to optimize efficiency, operating costs, and product quality. You will uphold manufacturing standards, generate work instructions, job breakdowns, and standardized work to ensure quality, and partner with on-site EHS to ensure all equipment meets OSHA safety regulations. Requirements

  • 5+ years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Process Automation experience.
  • AutoCAD or similar design software experience.
  • Aptitude for mechanical/electrical application as related to equipment/processes.
  • Communication skills to articulate voice of the customer.
  • Ability to coach, advise and develop teammates and peers.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop processes for factory transformation projects and equipment implementation.
  • Improve productivity, quality, equipment performance, energy consumption, and downtime reduction.
  • Provide technical/subject matter expertise and guidance for the resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems.
  • Serve as a resource for cause/effect investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning.
  • Design manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, and station controls that optimize efficiency, operating costs, and product quality.
  • Uphold manufacturing standards including: machine capability, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings and cycle times.
  • Generate work instructions, job breakdowns, and standardized work to ensure quality at the source meets product and manufacturing specifications given local needs.
  • Partner with on-site EHS to ensure all equipment meets safety regulations compliant with OSHA.
