Your role as a Manufacturing Engineer II As a Manufacturing Engineer II at PTI Technologies in Oxnard, CA, you will play a pivotal role in developing cost-effective manufacturing methods and processes within the aerospace industry. You will work under minimal supervision, taking the lead on various projects while guiding technicians and operatives within the machine shop. Your responsibilities will include evaluating and improving manufacturing methods, creating crucial process documentation, and designing efficient layouts for workspaces and equipment. You will collaborate with planning and design staff to ensure efficient production methods, and communicate with vendors to align on product specifications and procure necessary materials. Additionally, you will estimate production times and staffing needs, providing vital information for management decisions. By applying statistical methods, you'll help predict future manufacturing requirements, ensuring that PTI Technologies remains at the forefront of innovation and excellence in aerospace manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in CNC programming
  • Familiarity with machine shop operations
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents
  • Ability to write reports
  • Effective communication with managers and clients
  • Solid foundation in mathematical concepts, including probability, statistics, and geometry
  • Creativity and ingenuity in applying engineering principles
  • Proficiency in tools like MS Office and SolidWorks
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in real-world scenarios
