The Manufacturing Engineer II is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving manufacturing processes for Yotta Energy's Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) products. This role plays a critical part in supporting production operations, new product introductions, process optimization, and manufacturing scale-up activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
- 3-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and manufacturing process development
- Experience in one or more of the following industries: Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Electronics Manufacturing, Power Electronics, Automotive Manufacturing, Industrial Equipment Manufacturing
- Lean Manufacturing Principles
- Root Cause Analysis and corrective actions
- PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow Development
- Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
- ERP systems
- Electrical fundamentals and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
Nice To Haves
- Experience with battery systems, energy storage products, or power electronics
- Automation, robotics, or vision inspection system experience
- Lean Six Sigma certification
- Experience with ESD control programs and manufacturing test systems
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, process flows, PFMEAs, and control plans
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including pilot builds, process validation, and production readiness
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, and throughput
- Troubleshoot manufacturing, equipment, and quality issues while implementing corrective actions
- Support production ramp activities and manufacturing capacity expansion
- Specify, implement, and qualify manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and automation solutions
- Monitor and improve key manufacturing metrics, including safety, First Pass Yield (FPY), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), cycle time, and labor efficiency
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with Engineering teams to improve product manufacturability and assembly efficiency
