We’re seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer professional to join our team and drive the success of key initiatives. In this role, you’ll lead engineering activities aligned with project objectives, gather and analyze critical data, and develop progress reports and plans that keep stakeholders informed. You’ll play a vital role in monitoring timelines, identifying risks, and escalating issues when needed to ensure smooth execution and delivery. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic, result-driven environment. This position is based at our Santa Isabel, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
  • Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

  • Experience performing root cause analysis driving to effective corrective actions

  • Knowledge in Thermal Profiling
  • Basic Knowledge in Electronics Manufacturing Processes

Responsibilities

  • Provide support in SMT, process support activities including thermal profiling, engineering units' control, and storage
  • Lead and approve required FAI validations across all manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with internal and customer requirements
  • Independently manage Solumina tasks including alterations, order notes, WIP updates, and system integrity.
  • Serve as technical owner for NPI units flowing through manufacturing, including review and disposition of units passing through NCM
  • Drive process improvements using CORE tools, Lean principles, and RRCA methodologies; lead root cause investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions
  • Analyze rework, customer escapes, and QN data trends in collaboration with NPI QE; implement sustainable corrective actions
  • Develop, review, and optimize rework and repair instructions; ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance to standards
  • Identify and validate alternate parts, tooling, or procedures to support production continuity and risk mitigation
  • Add and approve instructions to rework orders and ensure manufacturing documentation accuracy
  • Proactively escalate risks impacting quality, cost, delivery, or safety, and recommend mitigation plans
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Production, Supply Chain, and Design Engineering to ensure smooth NPI transitions and production sustainment
