About The Position

Applied Materials is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to develop and maintain methods, operating sequences, and processes for fabricating parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. The role works closely with other engineering functions to coordinate the release of product improvements and new products. It applies engineering and design-for-excellence principles to reduce manufacturing or product costs, improve quality, establish time standards, and recommend tooling and process requirements. The engineer develops and uses test procedures, evaluates test results and work methods, and identifies root causes and corrective actions for assembly or system-testing issues. The position also performs Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis and prepares reports as needed. The role is based in Austin, Texas, and the posting identifies it as a weekend second-shift position with travel of 10% of the time.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree.
2–4 years of related experience.
