About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer II at Jabil, Inc. will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining manufacturing processes and equipment to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably within a high-volume production environment.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of medical device experience
  • Proven experience with process optimization, Lean Manufacturing principles, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Working Knowledge of IQ/OQ/PQ and PPQ
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of successful root cause analysis.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and manufacturing simulation tools.
  • Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of industry quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001).

Nice To Haves

  • Linux knowledge is a plus
  • Experience with automated manufacturing systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment.
  • Conduct process capability studies and implement statistical process control (SPC) techniques.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Production teams to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM) and smooth new product introductions (NPIs).
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process flowcharts, and control plans.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities using methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
  • Evaluate and select new manufacturing technologies and equipment.
  • Provide technical support and training to production personnel.
  • Participate in facility layout and capacity planning.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards.
