About The Position

Manufacturing Engineer responsible for the Advanced Electronic Subsystem (AES) Power/PDU area. This includes production floor support to operations, Continuous Improvement efforts, Defect Prevention Team (DPT) support, Manufacturing Data Package (MDP) readiness, Design interface and/or Change Requests (CR), and Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE). Capturing lessons learned on current Production programs (ie Patriot, TPY, etc) and incorporating for future opportunity capture. Training/Coaching junior engineers in the value stream. Manufacturing and/or producibility reviews of new designs and other Concurrent engineering requests and/or tasks. Investigating and driving resolution (including root cause and corrective action support) to production problems, including interfacing with suppliers/supplier quality and other value streams.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • 1+ year of manufacturing experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for CREO/ProE) and/or simulation tools
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Manufacturing/Enterprise Resource Planning (MRP/ERP) tools and systems (ie PRISM/SAP)
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Manufacturing Shop Floor Management tools and systems (ie cMES)
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Product Data Management tools and systems (ie Windchill/PDM)
