Job Purpose: Lead, design, set-up and enhance manufacturing methods and processes and work concurrently with New Product Development to ensure manufacturing feasibility and implementation of new products.

Requirements

  • Required High School Diploma
  • 3+ year’s working experience in an Engineering role
  • Must be fluent in blueprint reading
  • Must be experienced in computer skills with MS Word, CAD CAM Systems and Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering field
  • Ability to create designs using Solid Works
  • Experience troubleshooting electronics
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement

Responsibilities

  • Design, manufacture and/or program final product, individual components, prototypes, tooling and manufacturing devices (custom design fixtures and devices for in-house use).
  • Evaluate highly technical production and process problems and coordinate investigations and improvements.
  • Estimate manufacturing costs, develop time standards and develop processes for various operations.
  • Lead in developing new operation layouts to maximize utilization of floor space and man-power.
  • Key contributor to capital equipment selection and purchases.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing techniques to reduce non-value added activities and increase quality, delivery, safety, customer satisfaction and minimize production costs.
  • Coordinate tooling to support design specifications and schedule for new products or enhancements.
  • Initiate and process Engineering Changes in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Lead, track, update and communicate progress of assigned engineering projects.
  • Leverage data analytics to make strategic and tactical business decisions.
  • Lead complex capital projects.
  • Lead new product introductions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
