About The Position

The Leonardo DRS Land Systems business is a recognized leader in the design and integration of complex technologies into new and legacy systems and platforms for global military and commercial customers. We are a 5 year running Top Workplace in the Greater St. Louis area. This role provides direct engineering support to manufacturing operations. The engineer will perform design, fabrication, modification, and/or evaluation of manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include preparing plans, conducting support studies, and providing analysis or tests in the development of manufacturing operations. The role may involve assigning work to drafters and/or technicians. Responsibilities are moderate in scope where analysis of situations or data involves a variety of common factors. Only general guidance is needed on routine work, with instructions provided on new assignments as needed. The engineer will support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization. Involvement in the development of manufacturing process plans, test requirements, manufacturing flow, and capacity plans is expected. Review of detail designs for manufacturability and producibility is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable engineering field with 2-5 years applicable engineering experience or equivalent combination of education/training and experience
  • Specialties may include manufacturing, production, industrial, welding, tooling, testing, processing, software, and robotics
