About The Position

As a Manufacturing Engineer II, you will support the development, optimization, and sustainment of manufacturing processes that enable high-quality, life-changing products for our patients. Working under general supervision, you will apply engineering fundamentals, problem-solving skills, and a continuous improvement mindset to enhance product performance, improve manufacturing methods, and reduce costs in a systematic and inclusive way. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree and 2 years relevant experience
  • Possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with injection molding, assembly processes and fusing technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
  • Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
  • Experience within medical device manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with basic statistical analysis or statistical software.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners, technicians, and production teams.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Review and update manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies and equipment.
  • Design arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
  • Support hands-on engineering work such as troubleshooting, equipment setup, and/or process experiments.
  • Design sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
  • Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
  • May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
  • Inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
  • Develop manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques.
  • Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
  • Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
