Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 5+ years manufacturing experience
  • Ability to accurately assess manufacturing issues related to process and design.
  • Deep analytical and problem solving skills
  • Effective communication at multiple levels coupled with ability to build relationships.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree preferred in Engineering or related technical disciplines.
  • Previous experience with electric motors and compressors is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Oracle, Windchill, AutoCAD or Inventor is preferred.
  • CNC lathe/CNC grinder experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems, including investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning.
  • Develop, evaluate, and improve assembly methods for remanufactured and new compressors, compressor motors, and machined parts production.
  • Coordinate the design and building of tooling and equipment to support production.
  • Create cost-effective and safe manufacturing processes, equipment, and tools to improve manufacturing operations.
  • Design manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, and station controls that optimize efficiency, operating costs, and product quality.
  • Uphold manufacturing standards including machine capability, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings, and cycle times.
  • Generate work instructions, job breakdowns, and standardized work to ensure quality at the source meets product and manufacturing specifications given local needs.
  • Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
  • Partner with on-site EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) to ensure all equipment meets safety regulations compliant with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration).
