About The Position

Raytheon is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to provide engineering support and expertise to the Forest Consolidated Manufacturing Center. In this role, you’ll help to ensure hardware is assembled properly per all drawing requirements and you’ll assist in providing information on the use of manufacturing resources in the creation of instructions to assemble the product. In addition, you’ll assist in implementing processes and will help to provide measurable input to new products, processes or standards in operational plans to meet customer integrations and objectives.

Requirements

  • Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with any of the following: failure analysis, root cause analysis, corrective or preventive actions, lean manufacturing or continuous improvement processes
  • Experience working with engineering drawings
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Hands on experience with Electronic Circuit Card, Cabling and Electronic System assembly, rework and repair.
  • Working knowledge of Military and Commercial Standards, Materials and Process Specifications.
  • Working knowledge of hardware assembly, torque controls and analyzing assembly tolerance stack up.
  • Experience with modeling in Creo, or SolidWorks.
  • Experience in supporting design and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with manufacturing engineering initiatives within assigned work center(s) within the Forest Manufacturing Site
  • Participating in Root Cause analysis and CORE initiatives
  • Actively pursuing methods and processes to improve overall Quality of our product
  • Assisting with the review and dispositioning of state-of-the-art hardware to maintain production process flow
  • Gathering data to help to create and maintain Assembly instructions, Routers and Process Control Documents.
