About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer II is the second of three levels of manufacturing engineering and is responsible for projects that improve efficiency, productivity, and quality. This role involves leading workflow improvements, mentoring production personnel, planning facility layouts, developing production standards, and collaborating with various teams to enhance fabrication, assembly, and manufacturability of products. The position also entails developing, procuring, justifying, and validating tooling, fixtures, capital equipment, and automation. As part of the AROW Global team, understanding and adhering to the AROW Business System policy and objectives is crucial.

Requirements

  • Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system; knowledge of IFS is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs with an emphasis on Excel.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed (<10%); passport or ability to obtain a passport is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or associate degree in engineering program is preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead workflow improvements by utilizing Lean Manufacturing methods.
  • Mentor production personnel in the principles of 5S and lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Plan facility layouts to optimize workflow and develop proper set-up techniques.
  • Develop production standards and perform time studies.
  • Collaborate with Lead Hands and those in support functions to improve fabrication and assembly processes.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering to increase the manufacturability of products.
  • Develop, procure, justify, and validate tooling, fixtures, capital equipment, and automation.
  • Understand the AROW Business System policy and objectives and how you affect conformance to them.
