Job Summary Location: CVG200 Shift: Sunday-Tuesday every other Wednesday 6pm-6am The Manufacturing Engineer II at Jabil Inc. will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining manufacturing processes to ensure the efficient and cost-effective production of high-quality products. This role focuses on optimizing manufacturing methods, improving yields, and supporting new product introductions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including assembly, testing, and automation.
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for fixture and tooling design.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling.
- Optimize existing manufacturing processes for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
- Conduct root cause analysis for manufacturing defects and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and control plans.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) activities from prototype to full production, ensuring manufacturability.
- Collaborate with design engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Perform time studies and capacity analysis to identify bottlenecks and optimize production flow.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all manufacturing processes.
- Provide technical support and training to production personnel.
