About The Position

As a Manufacturing Engineer III at Jabil Inc., you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust manufacturing processes for complex products. This role focuses on optimizing production efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness within our CVG200 operations. You will act as a technical leader, driving continuous improvement initiatives and providing expert guidance to production teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role within a high-volume production environment.
  • Proven experience in process development, optimization, and validation.
  • Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for fixture and tooling design.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience with project management and leading small to medium-sized projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with automated manufacturing equipment and robotics is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling for product assembly, testing, and packaging.
  • Optimize existing manufacturing processes for efficiency, yield, and cost reduction through the application of Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Conduct process validation activities (IQ, OQ, PQ) and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and internal quality systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex manufacturing issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams including design engineering, quality, and production.
  • Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Lead or participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) initiatives for manufacturing defects or inefficiencies.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, materials, and equipment to enhance manufacturing capabilities and product performance.
  • Provide technical training and mentorship to junior engineers and production personnel.
  • Manage capital equipment projects from conception through installation and qualification.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality and reliability of incoming materials and components.
