Manufacturing Engineer II

Parker Hannifin•Spartanburg, SC

About The Position

Under limited or minimal supervision, the Manufacturing Engineer II designs, implements, and reviews manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment, typically at a single manufacturing facility. The role supports the manufacture and assembly of new and existing Parker products and identifies improved manufacturing techniques, tests new systems and methods for efficiency, and plans assembly layouts to optimize production, quality, cost, and safety. The position may also develop and deploy capital projects. The engineer plans and designs basic manufacturing processes, determines equipment and tooling needed to meet manufacturing goals and product quality specifications, and develops and implements process improvement projects focused on manufacturing efficiency, material yield, safety, and cost. The role may lead small teams working on process improvements, advise engineering leadership on design concepts and specification requirements, ensure more complex processes and procedures comply with regulations, and investigate quality issues and recommend corrective action. Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
