About The Position

As a Manufacturing Engineer II at Honeywell Aerospace, you will support repair and overhaul engineering efforts to optimize production processes, ensure product quality, and develop reliable repair solutions for mechanical components and systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and repairs and support manufacturing objectives related to cost, quality, and delivery. The position reports to the Repair and Overhaul Engineering Manager and is based onsite in Tempe, Arizona.

You will contribute to efficient manufacturing operations and develop repair solutions that meet aerospace quality and performance standards. The work supports cost savings, product quality, and timely delivery to customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
• 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in aerospace or defense.
• Experience with manufacturing processes, tooling, and quality systems relevant to aerospace production.
• Experience with process design and improvement methodologies, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
• Experience with manufacturing software tools such as CAD for process layout and ERP systems for production planning.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards for defining acceptable variations in mechanical parts.
• Familiarity with manufacturing documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Must be a U.S. person as defined for compliance with U.S. export control laws: a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or person with protected status under asylum or refugee status.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; work visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with aerospace manufacturing standards and certification processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Knowledge of automation technologies and data analytics applied to manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing engineering efforts by assisting with process development and optimization to improve efficiency and product quality.
• Collaborate with production, quality, design, and maintenance teams to support manufacturing operations and resolve technical issues.
• Assist with documenting and maintaining manufacturing processes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
• Lead and drive repair development from concept to implementation by designing and developing repairs for complex mechanical components and systems.
