Manufacturing Engineer II
About The Position
Productive Resources is seeking a driven Industrial Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to join their engineering team at a customer's facility in Stoughton, WI. The role involves a strong background in time studies, factory layouts, and continuous improvement processes. Experience with layout processes, DraftSite, and Six Sigma Green Belt certification is highly desirable. The position requires collaboration with a global team, including members in India, so flexibility to work either in the mornings or evenings will be essential. This is a full-time, indefinite position with opportunities for professional growth within the organization.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering, focusing on time studies, factory layouts, and continuous improvement processes.
- Strong knowledge and experience in factory layouts and space optimization.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations for improvement.
- Effective communicator, able to present findings and lead discussions with both local and global teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Flexibility to collaborate with teams in different time zones, particularly in the mornings or evenings, based on personal preference.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in manufacturing environments or industries with complex production processes.
- Ability to implement lean manufacturing principles and other process improvement methodologies.
- Experience working with cross-functional or international teams.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification (or working toward certification).
- Proficiency with DraftSite or other similar CAD software.
- Experience with JD processes (former JD employees highly encouraged to apply).
Responsibilities
- Conduct time studies and process analysis to improve efficiency and productivity in manufacturing operations.
- Utilize processes to evaluate and optimize workflows, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and operational goals.
- Design and implement factory layouts, ensuring optimal use of space, equipment, and labor to improve operational performance.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for process optimization, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies that streamline production processes and reduce waste.
- Analyze production data to provide actionable insights that drive operational decisions.
- Collaborate with global teams, including teams in India, to ensure project goals are met in a timely and efficient manner.
- Prepare and present reports on findings, improvement initiatives, and project progress to management.
- Support the design and implementation of process changes, ensuring effective training and knowledge transfer to the workforce.
