About The Position

Provide Operations Engineering support to the Circuit Card Assembly Factory located in Andover, MA. Primary responsibilities will be to support the Operation of Conformal Coating Process lines. This includes automated and programable equipment, for multiple products, and multiple coating types. Additional responsibilities include process improvement, cycle time reduction, defect prevention and operator support. Individuals will be required to participate in process improvement initiatives, establishment of process base line metrics, SPC implementation, Defect prevention, and process data analysis.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • 1+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and experience with ANSI J-STD-001 Class 3 & IPC-CC-830
  • Experience in applying Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Experience with supporting circuit card assembly production floor, (process and/or quality focus).
  • Specialized Tooling Development (Jigs, Fixtures, Specialized Packaging Development)
  • Masking Development (Boots, Die Cuts, automated masking dispensing)
  • Experience/Knowledge of IPC-CC-830 Coatings – Urethane, Silicone, Parylene, Acrylic, and Epoxy

Responsibilities

  • Creating and overseeing projects using risk management techniques
  • Translating engineering design requirements into formal manufacturing process documentation
  • Computer and machine programming for manufacturing automation
  • Dispositioning of discrepant hardware
  • Leading root cause and corrective action investigations to solve problems and prevent recurrence
  • Participate in process improvement and cost reduction initiatives using Lean Manufacturing methodology
  • Manufacturing process development and support
  • Conducting safety / ergonomic assessments
  • Interaction with senior personnel on technical matters requiring coordination between organizations and / or suppliers.
  • Tool/fixture development to drive ergonomics and reductions in cost and/or defects.
