About The Position

Cadrex is searching for a Manufacturing Engineer I to develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods, and controls; and coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
  • Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify potential areas of improvement.
  • Carry out process improvement, problem resolution, and project management.
  • Improve manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency.
  • Prepare and present plans for the above and coordinate deployment including training of team members.
  • Perform research, design, and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods, and production equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of buildings and equipment.
  • Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members, and evaluating results.
  • Create processes and procedures to help the company meet budgetary goals as well as performance quotas.
  • Establish an effective and efficient work sequence.
  • Devise new solutions to existing manufacturing problems.
  • Design, develop, and test sources and cost-justify various tools, fixtures, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
  • Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, safety, improved efficiency, and training opportunities.
