About The Position

Airbus Americas, Inc. is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer I for its A320 Engineering Department at the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility in Mobile, Alabama. The role provides technical shop-floor support, including assessing manufacturing non-conformities, supporting production through late changes, and identifying continuous-improvement opportunities. The engineer responds to technical questions, explains work orders and drawings—particularly for aircraft mechanical items—and communicates with Final Assembly Line (FAL) production teams. The position also serves as an interface to the on-site back office for work-order adaptation. The engineer creates and verifies work orders for FAL rework across cabin, systems, electrical, or structural areas; supports production on technical issues and directed changes; and improves work instructions so they provide accurate, clear information for aircraft assembly. The role also coordinates the availability of replacement parts, jigs, and tools, and works with Quality on recurring non-conformities and continuous-improvement measures. This is a 100% onsite position with approximately 5% domestic and international travel.
