About The Position

An exciting opportunity is available at Rolls-Royce Canada for a Manufacturing Engineer – Engine Lines. This role operates within a High Performance Culture environment, primarily focusing on managing the technical standards of Civil Aerospace products. Key responsibilities include optimizing engineering processes that support operations, collaborating closely with the OEM to develop technical solutions, and coordinating/delivering all engineering-related activities. Rolls-Royce is a global pioneer in integrated power and propulsion solutions, renowned for its jet engines and commitment to cleaner, safer, and more competitive power. The Canadian facility, located in Lachine with 600 employees, serves as the worldwide Centre of Excellence for the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) of Rolls-Royce Business Aircraft engines. The company is actively seeking skilled and driven technical individuals to join its tight-knit team and contribute to an ambitious growth plan, which is crucial for staying at the forefront of client needs and continuous innovation.

Requirements

  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and French
  • Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada
  • Member of the OIQ (Quebec Order of Engineers)

Responsibilities

  • Delivering cost optimization through the control of technical specifications.
  • Contributing towards minimizing the cost of non-quality through performance of failure and defect analysis using root cause analysis methodology.
  • Finding solutions for engine type specific technical problems, including disposition of non-conforming material in MRB in a timely manner in order to meet customer expectations.
  • Investigations on Civil Aerospace products that do not demonstrate delivery of the expected performance, without exceeding engine limitations.
  • Developing Engine Management Programs and technical specifications, engine fleet type life cycle cost optimization, and engine life development.
