About The Position

Niagara is seeking individuals for its Manufacturing Development Program (MDP) in Baytown. This 15-month rotational program offers hands-on experience across various functions and departments within a leading beverage manufacturer. Participants will learn to lead people or processes through practical experience, project work, and professional development. The program includes 9 months of rotations through plant departments such as Production, Maintenance, and Warehouse, with potential rotations in operations, engineering, human resources, or quality assurance. For the final 6 months, participants will act as Plant Supervisors to understand the role's scope and importance, preparing them for leadership positions upon graduation. Relocation after the program is encouraged to broaden job opportunities.

Requirements

  • 0 Years – Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment
  • 0 Years – Experience managing people/projects
  • Experience may include a combination of work experience and education
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 Years– Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment
  • 2 Years – Experience managing people/projects
  • 1 Year - internship experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or any field

Responsibilities

  • Gain first-hand experience across a broad range of functions and departments in a leading beverage manufacturer.
  • Participate in hands-on experience, project work, and professional development.
  • Rotate through Production, Maintenance, and Warehouse departments.
  • Potentially rotate through operations, engineering, human resources, or quality assurance departments.
  • Act as a Plant Supervisor for 6 months to understand the role's scope and importance.
  • Engage leadership and problem-solving skills in people and technical issues.
  • Complete cost or time-saving projects that are impactful to the plant and Niagara.
  • Participate in Lean Six Sigma Yellow and Green Belt training and projects.
  • Lead a shift in a manufacturing environment for 6 months.
  • Travel for a minimum of 3 weeks to other plant locations.
  • Work in all aspects of manufacturing and complete cross-departmental projects.
  • Present experiences and project outcomes to local and regional leadership.
  • Attend department/manager meetings and action plan based on feedback.
  • Stand or walk for extended periods of time in a manufacturing environment.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
