About The Position

Become an integral part of the premier analytics and digitalization team within Daimler Truck Manufacturing Engineering. The Centralized Operations Digitalization and Analytics (CODA) team is responsible for making operations data accessible, actionable, and valuable across our manufacturing network. As a Manufacturing Data & AI Developer, you will help build modern digital products, analytics solutions, and data-driven applications that improve manufacturing performance and support business decision-making. Working alongside manufacturing, engineering, and IT stakeholders, you will learn to transform operational challenges into scalable solutions using cloud technologies, analytics platforms, AI-enabled tools, and modern software development practices. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
An attached resume is required.
Experience through coursework, internships, personal projects, or professional experience with software development.
Experience with at least one programming language such as Python, C#, JavaScript, or similar.
Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL.
Basic understanding of software development concepts, testing, and debugging.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

Internship, co-op, academic project, or professional experience related to software development, AI, data, or analytics.
Experience developing web applications using React, Angular, or similar frameworks.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or data visualization tools.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
Familiarity with REST APIs and application integration concepts.
Familiarity with AI, Generative AI, Azure OpenAI, machine learning, or data science concepts.
Familiarity with Git and source control practices.
Understanding of manufacturing, industrial systems, or operational technology environments.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain software applications, dashboards, APIs, and automation tools that support manufacturing operations.
Assist with AI-enabled solutions such as Generative AI applications, copilots, intelligent assistants, and analytics tools.
Create and maintain SQL queries, reports, and data integrations across manufacturing and business systems.
Support development of data pipelines and data processing workflows.
Participate in application testing, deployment, and troubleshooting activities.
Collaborate with engineers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver software solutions.
Develop reports and visualizations using Power BI and other analytics platforms.
Support cloud-based applications and services under guidance from senior engineers.
Follow software development best practices, version control processes, and security standards.
Investigate and resolve issues related to applications, data integrations, and reporting solutions.
Document solutions, processes, and technical implementations.
