About The Position

Responsibilities include performing a wide variety of tasks associated with operating machines and producing good quality parts. This role involves troubleshooting AMO process problems, setting up Lining and Assembly machines as scheduled or required, and setting up Vision systems to ensure they run efficiently. The position also requires ensuring excellent quality product on assigned machines, performing TPMs (Total Productive Maintenance), and prioritizing the production schedule based on scheduling/shipping data. Maintaining a safe working environment, communicating effectively regarding machine, tooling, and quality problems, and developing a team environment on the shop floor are also key aspects of this role. The employee will participate willingly in on-going training programs and utilize basic mechanical skills, while following applicable Food Safety and cGMP policies.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Effective oral communication skills needed.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Basic computer application skills
  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Organizational and time-management abilities
  • Basic mechanical and mathematical skills
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and talk or hear.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and climb or balance.
  • Regularly required to squat, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Must regularly lift up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Powered industrial truck operating experience strongly preferred
  • experience with JD Edwards preferred

Responsibilities
