Vast is looking for a Manufacturing Coordinator, 2nd shift, reporting to the Supervisor, Integration, to support Haven-1 Manufacturing within the Integration team. This role is responsible for coordinating, ensuring material delivery meets with schedule timelines. You’ll be working cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, procurement, and quality assurance teams to maintain production flow and resolve any blockers proactively. This will be a full-time, non-exempt position located in our Long Beach location. Shift hours: Second Shift: 2pm - 10:30pm

Requirements

  • 2+ years in a manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience with MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • 2+ years of Smartsheet.
  • Highly detail oriented and self starter.
  • Forklift experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee, monitor, and facilitate the movement of components throughout the manufacturing process to ensure timely progression through our Vast locations.
  • Coordinate the physical transfer of components across various stages including purchasing, receiving inspection, inventory, and relevant work centers.
  • Coordinate outside processing of components and liaise with the purchasing team to ensure timely delivery.
  • Support logistics operations by optimizing workflow staging as necessary.
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of system data in collaboration with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to align with demands and schedules.
  • Generate and maintain reports highlighting requirements, milestones, and limitations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with schedulers, and managers to fulfill action requirements.
  • Communicate effectively and escalate issues promptly across various platforms and to specific stakeholders.
  • Escalate issues such as part shortages, purchase order delays, and discrepancies in BOM to relevant departments.
  • Collaborate with engineers and the planning team on the release of runs.
  • Follow schedules through effective planning and shortage management coordination.
