About The Position

A Manufacturing Controls Technician installs, calibrates, and maintains automated industrial machinery to keep operations running smoothly. The role involves responding quickly to equipment problems and supporting the implementation, startup, testing, and maintenance of automated processes and control systems. The technician also ensures developed instruments comply with quality standards and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Completion of a two-year degree or technical certificate program.
• Three to five years of manufacturing experience and strong technical knowledge of programming, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance.
• Superior analytical capabilities.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent dexterity.

• Technical capacity.

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, and oversee the implementation of new processes.
• Install retrofits to existing systems and troubleshoot hardware, software, and instrument problems.
• Support startup activities.
• Create and maintain automation processes.
• Oversee testing procedures, write reports, and ensure developed instruments comply with quality standards and safety regulations.
• Be available for support calls 24/7.
• Install, diagnose, and repair programmable logic controllers and other devices that operate automated equipment.
