Manufacturing Controller

Granite State Manufacturing•Manchester, NH

About The Position

Granite State Manufacturing (GSM) is a contract manufacturer of large, complex, precision-machined and welded components, supporting U.S. Navy submarine construction. Its capabilities include large-format CNC machining; heavy fabrication and welding; assembly, inspection and testing; and program management for complex builds. GSM describes its work environment as supportive and focused on helping employees do great work. The Manufacturing Controller owns the accounting close, financial reporting, cost accounting and internal controls, and serves as the primary day-to-day partner to external auditors. This hands-on role is responsible for building and operating a disciplined, audit-ready, data-driven close, maintaining balance-sheet integrity, accurately accounting for revenue and contract assets and liabilities on firm-fixed-price contracts, and providing reliable product-cost data to program and operations leaders. The role also leads and develops the accounting team, integrates finance with operations, program management and supply chain, and works to remove barriers that affect cost and scheduling performance. The Controller is expected to support a professional, safe and orderly workplace, collaborate across the organization, and follow GSM’s Code of Ethics and applicable laws and regulations. Access to export-controlled information requires candidates to qualify as a U.S. Person under applicable regulations or otherwise be authorized under U.S. law.
