About The Position

We are seeking a focused and mechanically inclined Manufacturing Component Detailer to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for the final preparation and cleaning of critical engine components, ensuring they are free of debris and finished to high-quality standards. Reporting to the Department Supervisor, you will play a vital part in preventing product non-conformities and maintaining a safe, efficient workflow in our fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • 1 year of manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Previous experience with hand and power tools is a strong plus
  • Proven ability to meet production metrics while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
  • A natural mechanical inclination or a strong interest in engine components and how they function
  • Ability to stand for 8–10 hours
  • Ability to lift or move up to 70 pounds
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring strong manual dexterity (torquing, crimping, and grasping)
  • Willingness to work in a loud, high-energy shop floor environment that may be hot or humid during summer months

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailing and buffing to clean and smooth engine components, removing dirt, paint, rust, and other contaminants.
  • Safely utilize hand, impact, and power tools, as well as specialized equipment, to meet production requirements.
  • Operate stationary or moving overhead hoists, baskets, and carts to transport components through the work area.
  • Follow all Standard Work instructions and immediately report any product or process non-conformities to the supervisor.
  • Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery and maintain a clean, orderly workspace in accordance with safety regulations.
  • Adapt to different workstations and perform other related duties as assigned to meet shifting production needs.
