About The Position
The Manufacturing Calibration Test Technician is responsible for calibrating, testing, and shipping Beckman Echo systems. This position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor and is part of the Production Team located in San Jose, CA and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to follow established procedures to calibrate, test, and prepare instruments for shipping, provide the first line of troubleshooting for diagnosing problems, and contribute to group problem solving and process improvement activities.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in calibration manufacturing position
- Associate's degree in a technical field or comparable long-standing work experience (Computer, Life Sciences, Chemistry or similar)
- Effective and analytical problem-solving skills, including basic understanding of statistical methods, techniques, formulas, and tests
- Proactive profile, asks questions and has initiative
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions and ability to work as part of a team
- Good communication skills
Nice To Haves
- BS degree in a Life Science, Chemistry, or Engineering technology discipline
- Prior work experience with calibration, automation, centrifuges, plate readers, etc.
- Familiarity with chemistry and liquid handling equipment (Beckman, Agilent, Hamilton)
