About The Position

The Business Manager is responsible for driving business planning, performance tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives across assigned assembly plants within the Region. This role serves as a key liaison between plant leadership and the Director of Manufacturing, ensuring alignment on strategic priorities, operational scorecards, and the deployment of the Ford Production System (FPS). The Business Manager will manage the Region Business Control Center, support cost and quality objectives, and facilitate cross-functional coordination to enable sustained operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of Significant manufacturing experience, with a strong background in assembly operations.
• Comprehensive understanding of plant operations and manufacturing processes.
• Thorough knowledge of the Ford Production System (FPS) and its core principles.
• Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven leadership aligned with Ford's core behaviors and values.
• Proficiency in Ford IT operating systems and standard office software applications.
• Strong meeting facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and align cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate business planning activities across assigned assembly plants to support regional objectives.
• Manage the Region Business Control Center, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of key performance data.
• Implement and maintain processes to track and deliver Manufacturing SQDCPME (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, Maintenance, Environment) Scorecard objectives.
• Champion the adoption and application of Ford Production System (FPS) principles throughout the Region.
• Track and manage Finished Vehicle Inventory to support production and delivery targets.
• Develop and evaluate business cases to inform strategic and operational decision-making.
• Coordinate actions supporting plant achievement of total cost and quality objectives.
• Lead the coordination of quality improvement initiatives across the Region.
• Support the development and execution of plant-level FPS implementation plans.
• Coordinate program and cost review sessions with relevant stakeholders.
• Facilitate weekly Operating Committee Meetings (OCM).
• Facilitate Labor Staffing Authorization Requests (SARs).
• Support Kaizen workshops and continuous improvement events within the Region.
• Support Regional innovation initiatives and idea implementation.
• Manage the Region SharePoint site and associated documentation.
• Represent the Director of Manufacturing and other Regional Directors in meetings as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Manufacturing.
