About The Position

Join Amcor as a Manufacturing Assistant and play a key role in producing high-quality products that protect what’s important in the healthcare industry. This role supports the operator in machine setup and operation, transports materials using a forklift, breaks down raw materials, and manipulates machine controls. You will also prepare materials according to the production schedule, track raw materials to prevent shortages, and maintain a clean work area. Requirements

  • Ability read, understand, and follow customer specifications
  • Must have basic computer skills to complete tasks in operator software
  • Required to have visual acuity to perform visual inspection including the use of measurement devices and ability to identify and distinguish colors
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand for long periods (steel-toed shoes required)
  • Perform climbing, crouching, and reaching

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing environment preferred
  • Forklift experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support Operator in setting up and operate the machine if operator is absent (cross train).
  • Transport laminated, raw material, and printed material throughout the warehouse using forklift.
  • Break down raw material or film from skids to be loaded on to machine.
  • Use mechanical lift to load/unload printed and laminated rolls on and off machine and adjust shaft for recommended core size.
  • Able to manipulate controls and use of dial indicators on machine.
  • Prepare materials that coincide to the production schedule and work order.
  • Keep track of raw materials at plant for production so machines do not run out.
  • Label all finished and return to stock material accurately.
  • Maintains cleanliness in work area during shift and shift transitions.
