About The Position

Amazon Prime Air is seeking a Manufacturing Assembly Technician to directly support its drone vehicle production assembly process. The role involves identifying and communicating methods to improve quality, reduce cost, and optimize the assembly process. The candidate will also be cross-trained in vehicle testing processes for production support as needed. Requirements

2+ years of mechanical and electrical integration or assembly experience
Can carry/lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach
Experience guiding, training and mentoring others
High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of industry work experience
1+ years of hands-on experience with precision torque, measurement and inspection devices (i.e., automated and manual torque wrenches, torque drivers, calipers, micrometers, profilometers, optical inspection devices, multi-meters), as well as standard hand tools

Can work in a fast-paced, team environment
FAA Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) and/or Avionics certification/license
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification and/or equivalent experience
Experience working with Foreign Object Damage (FOD) and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) sensitive hardware

Responsibilities

Champion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations
Execute assembly of mechanical and electro-mechanical parts using proper tools and techniques
Independently execute and prioritize work to meet deliverables relative to assigned drone assembly process(s)
Work with production and the operations teams to help execute production readiness and testing responsibilities
Identify and recommend improvements by contributing to improving SOPs and safety procedures
Attention to detail in repetitive tasks
Support / Execute vehicle testing as needed to ensure product functionality and conformity
