About The Position

ABB is a global market leader helping industries operate leaner and cleaner. This role is part of ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company, which is undergoing a planned acquisition by SoftBank Group. The Manufacturing Assembly / Electrician supports production targets by adhering to systems and processes, using shop floor machinery and equipment, and interpreting technical diagrams for assembly. The work location is onsite in Auburn Hills, MI.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relatable experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics to interpret the technical diagrams/instructions for assembly of products/systems/panels is required.
  • Mechanical and electrical assembly experience is required.
  • Understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) terms.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, technical aptitude, problem solving, critical thinking, and excellent communication skills.
  • Comfortable using MS Office tools (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts all types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products/systems/panels, including packing where integrated with production lines.
  • Performs work manually or by using light hand tools.
  • Performs regular quality testing as part of a defined production process.
  • Operates within standard operating procedures and maintains a clean work area.
  • Demonstrates ABB’s core values and group safety and integrity standards and acts accordingly.
  • Implements and ensures compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in their assigned area.
  • Ensures adherence to all relevant internal and statutory regulations and policies.
  • Ensures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) terms, concept application, reporting, and risks.
  • Ensures adherence to the collaboration objectives of the team to maximize results for ABB.
  • Leads their own development journey by seeking knowledge and learning opportunities within the team.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders in their own area of responsibility and ensure alignment.
