About The Position

Zehnder Rittling is hiring dependable employees to perform basic manufacturing operations in support of production at its Buffalo, New York facility. The role supports production needs across manufacturing cells and includes assisting with paint-line loading and unloading, packaging, product assembly, and maintenance-related activities. Employees must work safely, use required personal protective equipment, and be flexible about transferring to other cells as needed. The position is part of a team that seeks to identify and eliminate non-value-added processes and waste.

The schedule is 40 hours per week, consisting of four 10-hour shifts from 5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Overtime may be needed, including 10 hours on Friday and/or 6 hours on Saturday morning. The posting notes that positions may be temporary-to-hire or seasonal. Pay is $17.00 to $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to learn basic production operations quickly.
• Dependability and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds.
• Close vision and the ability to regularly use hands to handle and feel.
• Ability to stand throughout the workday and to walk, reach, bend, stoop, and lift.

Nice To Haves

• Prior vocational or trade school background.
• Experience with small hand tools, both power and manual.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading and unloading the paint line.
• Assist with packaging products.
• Assist with assembling fin tube, storage cabinets, cabinet unit heaters, and brackets.
• Assist with maintenance-related activities, including janitorial functions and cleaning paint-line equipment.
• Work safely and use all required personal protective equipment.
• Assist in other areas of the cell and transfer to other cells when needed.
• Work as part of a team and seek to identify and eliminate non-value-added processes and waste.
