About The Position

We are seeking a Manufacturability Engineer to join our team supporting the Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) at their Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory! This position is full-time and will be based out of West Mifflin, PA with 15% hybrid flexibility.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university and 3+ years of work experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
• United States (U.S.) citizen
• Ability to obtain a DOE "L" clearance.
• Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling software.
• Experience with Model Based Design - Experience with Design for Manufacturability.
• Experience implementing Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) into designs.
• Ability to review, understand, and apply relevant engineering codes and standards (e.g. ASME, AWS).
• Experience supporting design reviews and technical interchanges with Suppliers.
• Experience with machining and all forms of welding processes across design and production.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to think creatively and make recommendations to senior project personnel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.

Nice To Haves

• Active DOE "L" clearance or DoD "Secret" clearance, highly desired (Or higher clearances ).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineers across multiple locations.
• Review and disposition supplier mechanical design submittals to validate designs based on technical requirements.
• Interface with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are satisfied.
• Understand ASME Y14.5 Geometric Tolerancing principles.
