About The Position

Payall Payment Systems is a rapidly growing fintech startup focused on cross-border payments. The Manual QA Engineer helps ensure the quality, stability, and performance of the fintech platform. The role works closely with engineering, product, and business analyst teams to understand requirements, create test plans, execute test cases, and confirm that features meet quality standards before release.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in manual software testing; fintech or highly regulated environment experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience testing web and mobile applications.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and tools such as Postman for manual API testing.
• Basic understanding of databases and ability to write simple SQL queries.
• Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools within the testing lifecycle, including generating test cases and test data, authoring or maintaining automated tests, and analyzing failures with sound judgment about validating AI output.

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to cross-border payments or banking systems.
• Familiarity with compliance testing such as KYC and AML.
• Interest in learning test automation over time.

Responsibilities

• Review product requirements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand use cases and acceptance criteria.
• Design, maintain, and execute manual test cases for functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools such as JIRA, and work with developers to resolve them.
• Perform end-to-end testing of workflows, including user interfaces, APIs, and third-party integrations.
• Validate data accuracy across systems, particularly in financial and transaction flows.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and QA retrospectives as part of the Agile development cycle.
• Help maintain QA documentation, including test plans, testing procedures, and release checklists.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and standards.
