About The Position

The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for the manual assembly, testing, and preparation of commercial and industrial fans - ventilation and air movement products - in accordance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and production schedules. This role supports manufacturing operations by ensuring products are assembled accurately, safely, and efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Requirements

  • Previous experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or production environments preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, work instructions, and basic technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing repetitive assembly tasks.
  • Able to work standing for long periods with expected breaks.
  • Strong organizational skills and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Positive attitude!

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift experience or certification considered an asset.
  • Experience with ventilation, HVAC, fan, or mechanical equipment manufacturing considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Manually assemble fan, ventilation, and air movement products according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and production specifications.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment safely and effectively.
  • Inspect components and completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Components can consist of electrical wiring, housings, etc.
  • Perform basic testing and verification of assembled products prior to shipment.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, bills of materials, and work instructions.
  • Identify and report quality concerns, damaged components, or production issues to supervisors.
  • Assist with product packaging, crating, and preparation for shipment as required.
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
  • Support inventory control by reporting material shortages and assisting with cycle counts when required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety policies.
  • Collaborate with production, warehouse, engineering, and quality teams to meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, and safety.
