About The Position
The Manual Machinist will operate, set up, and maintain manual lathes, mills, and related shop equipment to produce and repair metal components to precise specifications.
Requirements
- Strong manual machining skills, including setup and operation of manual lathes, mills, and related equipment
- Previous experience as a manual machinist in a job shop, repair, or manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions, including dimensions and tolerances
- Proficiency with precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges
- Solid understanding of machining principles, materials, cutting tools, speeds and feeds, and surface finishes
Nice To Haves
- Experience with repair machining, fitting, and fabrication of custom or one-off parts is highly beneficial
