Manual Machine/Saw Operator
About The Position
American Bolt Corporation is seeking an experienced, dependable Manual Machinist to join its production team. The role supports customer orders by cutting rods to specification and producing fastening solutions that meet customer requirements. The operator works independently and is expected to maintain quality, precision, and safety while contributing to an organized, smooth-running operation. The position is full-time, onsite in New Berlin, Wisconsin, on the first shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Starting pay is $20.00–$21.50 per hour. Employment offers are contingent on successfully passing a background check, drug screen, and physical.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in manual, hands-on mechanical and machining skills.
- Attention to detail and quality, with the ability to meet specifications consistently.
- Comfort and ability to work on computers to enter and retrieve information.
- Ability to safely climb step ladders while carrying heavy product.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with scissors lifts, or a high comfort level with being trained to use them.
Responsibilities
- Run a saw daily, cutting rods to specifications to create fastening solutions.
- Ensure parts are machined to customer specifications.
- Operate the machine independently while inspecting product quality, measuring and adjusting parts, sharpening tools, and retrieving and handling rods for cutting.
- Occasionally use a scissors lift to retain rod, following safety standards.
