About The Position

Entegris is seeking a Manual Machinist I to join its Advanced Purity Solutions Division in San Luis Obispo, California. The role produces stainless-steel components used in Ultra High Purity Systems, following engineering specifications and applicable work instructions. Work includes cutting, facing, deburring, and cleaning tubing and fittings using tools and equipment such as vertical bandsaws, CNC cold cut saws, porta band saws, roto bur tools, files, tube-facing tools, and wash tanks. The position performs routine, repetitive operations while maintaining product quality, workplace safety, cleanliness, and on-time shipments. The role works with supervision from instructions, drawings, and cut lists, and uses SAP to print drawings and tube cut lists. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
0–2 years of experience cutting, deburring, and cleaning tubing and fittings.
Ability to learn to navigate the ERP system to find drawings and instructions.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds daily.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Attention to detail to support plant safety and product quality.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
Ability to learn to handle material responsibly.
Dependability and flexibility to work overtime and weekends to support business needs.

Responsibilities

Produce stainless-steel components for Ultra High Purity Systems according to engineering specifications.
Work from instructions, drawings, and lists of tube diameters and lengths, with supervision.
Use SAP to print drawings and tube cut lists.
Cut and clean tubing and weld fittings, and keep the shop clean.
Perform routine, repetitive operations to produce accurate, high-quality products in a timely manner.
Complete 6S responsibilities: sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain, and safety.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment and support or improve on-time shipments.
Work safely and recognize the safety of others.
Learn and apply proper measuring techniques, tool use and care, and quality standards.
Work as part of a team and independently when needed.
Carry out other duties as assigned.
