Requirements

• Grade 12 diploma
• Mechanical aptitude and dexterity
• Ability to pass Canadian Controlled Goods Assessment and criminal background check
• Compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
• Must be able to obtain Canadian government exemptions for temporary residents/international students for access to export controlled goods (takes a minimum of 2 months from offer acceptance for processing).

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate all required manual production processes.
• Perform basic problem solving and troubleshoot to resolve production/process issues to meet required standards.
• Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced by handheld and/or hand operated equipment.
• Perform inspection of own work using precision measuring equipment as provided or directed to assess quality of work.
• Follow and accurately record data as directed or required in routers, IMS and any other production tracking systems.
• Train other operators as needed.
• May be required to perform other manual operations in other departments.
• Read and interpret production prints.
• Possess adequate computer skills to access production procedures to perform the required work.
• Responsible for excellent housekeeping and maintaining 5S in all areas.
