About The Position

This position involves performing manual machining processes using basic machine operations such as single point turning, knurling, hole drilling, part marking, and basic threads. The operator will be responsible for verifying the conformance of finished workpieces to specifications, maintaining machines, and communicating any machining issues to supervision. The role also includes other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Learn to use and read measuring tools.
• Able to make adjustments to get desired finish on parts.
• Learn to single point internal and external threads and machining operations with moderate tolerances.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and make the safety coordinator aware of any unsafe situations.
• Able to grind basic cutting tools and drills.
• Able to use and read measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, bore gages, steel rules, and conversion charts.
• Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and blue prints.
• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure and able to calculate figures such as percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Good hands-on mechanical aptitude and ability.
• Must be detail oriented
• Authorized to work in United States.
• Able to meet ATF & regulatory security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Able to successfully complete manual machining processes.
• Safely apply basic machine operations such as: single point turning, knurling, hole drilling, part marking, and basic threads.
• Use tooling priority list to meet on time delivery demands.
• Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications.
• Maintain machines and communicate any machining issues with supervision.
• Other duties as assigned.
