About The Position

The Manifestor keeps track of all incoming and outgoing products and assists in all related functions in record keeping requirements and inventory. This role involves scanning pallets to accurately capture proper case count, weights, and dates, documenting numbers and codes per pallet, and creating labels for pallets. The Manifestor ensures all paperwork is completed in accordance with established time frames or record keeping requirements and verifies that pallets and labels are correct and sent to the right destination. This position also requires participation as a member of the Team, contributing to ongoing development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies, and coordinating work to ensure B.E.S.T practices with all team members. The role involves attending appropriate team meetings and fostering strong cohesiveness regarding major issues. The Manifestor is expected to accept responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues. Additionally, the Manifestor must be familiar with Simmons’ established operating systems (e.g., quality, security, office environment, company policies) and understand the responsibility to maintain familiarity with these systems and their role in supporting them, including considering the impact of individual actions and communicating concerns and improvement ideas. Other duties as necessary in support of business objectives may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Communication skills & decision quality - Must have the ability to make good decisions and communicate effectively with others and leadership team.
  • Must have good communication skills in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience in shipping and receiving, working with large moving equipment.
  • Preference for poultry or food processing organization.
  • Military experience is valued.

Responsibilities
