Requirements

  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical machinery effectively and accurately.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, read and write in English.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to carry out detailed written and/or oral instructions without assistance.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.
  • Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for job actions and procedures.
  • Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.
  • Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties.
  • Ability to operate work related equipment.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Climbing to various heights via stairs or ladders on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

  • Records all production transactions into and out of the warehouse.
  • Follows procedures as outlined by plant policy and manifest skills training.
  • Uses computer ticketing software to ticket new items produced and logs information accurately.
  • Communicates with departments regarding quality issues noticed with finished goods.
  • Records and inputs all necessary data into the computer system.
  • Inspects totes for quality before being staged on the line for use.
  • Reads, interprets and carries out shop order packets.
  • Recognizes and comprehends what each number signifies in the product code.
  • Keeps accurate paperwork throughout shift and reconciles at the end of the shift.
  • Operates a forklift in tight and restricted spaces.
  • Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
