About The Position

We are looking for experienced and dedicated early childhood Mandarin teachers to inspire and teach our Infant, Toddler, and Preschool students. At Goddard, we focus on each child’s individual growth, developing their independence, social-emotional growth, love for learning, and communication skills. The Goddard School of Millburn teaches children ages two months through six years in three languages (English, Spanish, and Mandarin). Requirements

  • Three-year minimum of teaching experience as a Teacher
  • Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
  • Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
  • Excellent communication and instructional skills

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in education, preferred.
  • CPR Certification (Preferred)
  • Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and collaborate with your team on the implementation of hands-on activities and projects based on your observations of children’s interests and skills.
  • Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum for assigned subject areas.
  • Provide learning opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration, problem-solving, critical, and creative thinking.
  • Create and provide a supportive and caring classroom environment in which students learn cooperatively and interact positively with one another.
  • Model respectful interactions with students of diverse backgrounds while responding to their individualized needs.
  • Teaching multiple classes throughout the day, supervision of children, changing diapers, playing with, and inspiring children, collaborating with colleagues, covering classes (assigned and as needed) and communicating with parents.

Benefits

  • Full-Time: 40 hours per week plus a one-hour lunch.
  • Part-Time: 25 hours per week plus a half hour lunch.
