About The Position

Terra San Francisco School (TSFS) is a progressive Preschool-8th grade school committed to the personal and intellectual growth of its students. TSFS offers a challenging, innovative curriculum within a collaborative and supportive community. Teachers are central to the school's community, embodying its core values by fostering curiosity, critical thinking, intentionality, open dialogue, and good humor. TSFS is an independent, co-educational school located in scenic Mill Valley, north of San Francisco. A unique aspect of the program is that students and teachers spend two days each week outdoors in nature, led by a Nature Guide.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's or other Advanced degrees in Education and content area a plus, but not required.
  • Experience in reading and phonics instruction, differentiated learning, backward planning, and creating performance assessments.
  • Experience using the Project-Based Learning methodology
  • Responsive Classroom Training

  • Engage in self-reflection and professional development through goal setting, PD opportunities, and ongoing dialog with division directors
