About The Position

This is a .5 FTE (Long-Term Substitute) position teaching Mandarin language components with the goal of instilling Mandarin proficiency in reading, writing, and conversational skills. The position is split between Scott Highland Middle School (.4 FTE) and Rosemount Middle School (.1 FTE). The effective date of employment is anticipated from October 12, 2026, until November 13, 2026. The application deadline is October 1, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. Duties include assessing student performance, interacting with staff and parents, and other assigned activities. The teacher will teach the curriculum of Independent School District 196 and carry out responsibilities as defined by the master contract and the principal, while maintaining good communication and cooperation with staff and parents.

Requirements

Must have a bachelor's degree in Education
Licensed by the State of MN to teach Mandarin
Permanent authorization to work in the U.S.
