About The Position

The NYC office is seeking a highly motivated Managing Director with a proven leadership track record within the industry to join our Business Process Improvement solution. Managing Directors are focused on developing business opportunities in the marketplace and are valuable leaders within our organization and the business community. The Managing Director for Supply Chain Innovation & Operations Performance is an exciting new role that will guide Protiviti’s clients in modernizing and building resiliency and innovation into their supply chain & operations. They will introduce processes and technologies that will enable agility, improve decision-making through analytics and insights, lower costs, increase production speed and delivery, improve operations, identify and evaluate supply chain vulnerabilities, plan for disruptions, and evaluate the impact on their customers’ businesses and meeting social and environmental standards. They will introduce processes and technologies that will enable agile factories, intelligent warehouse and distribution, and X-as-a-Service to maintain quality. They will also be identifying and managing risk to improve operations, enabling more resilient and flexible operations to drive revenue assurance and cost reductions. In this role, the leader will have the opportunity to drive service offerings and go to market strategy, and build a new practice area. They will utilize the Protiviti global footprint, strategic alliances, and partnership with Robert Half to create the right blend of offerings and services and expand upon current capabilities in partnership with technology and other Protiviti leadership. The Managing Director, Supply Chain Innovation & Operations Performance will have the opportunity to work across the whole of Protiviti, to develop solutions across industries and impact supply chain operations from raw materials through to the customer satisfaction. They will lead the organization in a strategy to win large, complex, transformational deals that include, strategy, technology, and transformation. Managing Directors at Protiviti are people leaders and coaches. They will build the people strategy needed to drive a high-growth practice, and be a keen assessor of talent and a strong customer advocate. They will be responsible for impeccable delivery and the customer success of their practice. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline (e.g. Accounting, Finance, or Business Related Field).
  • 20+ years working in internal audit, consulting, assurance services, or related field, either in professional services or industry.
  • Proven track record of business development and maintaining strategic client relationships with key executives and C-Suite personnel.
  • Experience advising clients on key strategic matters, such as emerging trends, regulatory changes, and business insights relevant to client’s operations.
  • Experience working in and navigating a heavily matrixed organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s or advanced degree in related field preferred.
  • Experience in supply chain risk and resiliency, cloud, supply chain insights, autonomous operations, digital twin and advanced simulation (ML/AI), and integrated business planning.
  • Experience in agile factories, intelligent warehouse and distribution, X-as-a Service, vendor risk management, CO2/water/materials reduction and replacement strategies and ESG value chain compliance.
  • Experience successfully building (helping to build) a consulting practice, inclusive of people/offerings development and management, sales engagement and delivery, customer relationship management and building of market eminence.
  • Maintain a current understanding of trends and tools for the modern supply chain with a focus on blending digital capabilities with traditional continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong leader with credibility in the field built through excellent work and sustained relationships.
  • Trusted leader and client advisor.
  • Natural business builder, drive sales and revenue through direct and indirect business development, personal relationships, creative offerings, and exemplary delivery.
  • Understand and adhere to delivery best practices.
