About The Position

The Managing Director, Real Estate Products serves as a subject-matter expert and internal quarterback for the firm’s real estate investment products and capital raising across debt and equity strategies. The role sits at the intersection of investment teams, investor relations, portfolio management, and capital markets, translating complex investment strategies, portfolio performance, and market dynamics into clear, consistent, and investor-ready messaging and spearheading the overall marketing and capital raising plan, in partnership with Investor Relations, for all real estate products. This individual is responsible for owning the “product narrative”—ensuring that investment strategies are well-articulated, accurately represented, and consistently communicated across marketing materials, investor communications, fundraising efforts, and internal forums. While not a sales role, the Product Specialist is a critical enabler of capital formation and investor confidence.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or professional designation (MBA, CFA, CAIA) a plus.
8–10+ years of experience in real estate investing, product management, capital markets, portfolio management, or investor relations within an institutional platform.
Strong understanding of commercial real estate fundamentals, capital structures, and risk analysis.
Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information and communicate it clearly to sophisticated audiences.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing institutional-quality materials.
High level of intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and comfort working across senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain deep expertise across the firm’s real estate investment strategies (e.g., bridge / transitional lending, core/core-plus and value-add equity, opportunistic strategies, sector-focused vehicles).
Serve as a central knowledge resource on product design, risk-return profiles, portfolio construction, underwriting philosophy, and lifecycle management.
Partner with investment teams to stay current on pipeline, portfolio positioning, realized and unrealized performance, and market outlooks.
Own the development and ongoing refinement of product descriptions, pitch decks, tear sheets, fund overviews, and FAQs.
Translate technical investment concepts into clear, concise, and credible messaging suitable for institutional investors.
Ensure consistency of product messaging across Investor Relations and senior management communications.
Act as a strategic partner to Investor Relations in fundraising, investor diligence, and ongoing LP engagement.
Support responses to investor inquiries, DDQs, RFPs, and ad hoc product-related questions.
Participate in investor meetings, annual meetings, roadshows, and conferences as a product expert.
Coordinate closely with Portfolio Management, Asset Management, Risk, Legal/Compliance, CEO’s Office and Finance / Accounting to ensure accuracy and alignment of materials.
Support launch planning for new products, including positioning, differentiation, and go-to-market materials.
Help institutionalize feedback from investors and the market to inform product evolution.
Monitor market trends, peer strategies, and competitor positioning across real estate asset classes and capital structures.
Assist in framing relative value and differentiation of the firm’s offerings within the broader institutional real estate landscape.
